AT SOME TIME, in some way, we must all face the end of life. And most of us share a common hope - that when death comes to us or to a loved one, it will be peaceful and dignified. We hope to be surrounded by those we love, feeling safe, comfortable and cared for.

Burnaby Hospice Society trains volunteers to provide emotional and practical support to people with life threatening illnesses and to their loved ones. They are a part of a caregiving team and can visit in homes, hospital or long term care facilities.

The goal of Hospice is to help make a difficult life passage both manageable and meaningful for people facing death as well as for their families and friends.

Hospice will be there during the journey through illness, death and bereavement.
